2007 PAC Audit Released!  The Colorado Association of REALTORS® Government Affairs Division has released its 2007 Political Action Committee and Issues Performance Audit.  Based on Local Board recommendations, RCPAC allocated over $40,000 to worthy candidates supporting REALTOR® interests.  78% of those candidates supported were elected to office on the local level.  RIPAC experienced similar success. The Issues Mobilization Committee was also hard at work in distributing over $90,000 in State and Local Board funds to further boost grassroots support for REALTORS® and enhancing the "Quality of Life" enjoyed by our communities in which we live and work. Click Here to View the Report.

2008 REALTOR® Day at the Capitol:
Over 200 REALTORS® met in Denver on Tuesday, February 19th to learn about state government, catch up on issues affecting the real estate industry, and to network with fellow REALTORS® and legislators from around the state.  In addition to having an opportunity to have lunch with over 20 state legislators, REALTORS® heard from Governor Ritter as well as Senate and House Leadership on issues surrounding the 2008 Legislative Session and other issues relating to REALTOR® interests.

Thank you to Land Title for sponsoring this year's event!

Political Affairs and Committees
The Colorado Association of REALTORS® grassroots effectiveness is respected throughout the state and country. Our various committee structure and political affairs programs give Colorado REALTORS® one clear voice in the state Capitol and U.S. Congress.

Issues Mobilization
The Issues Mobilization Committee monitors the issue-oriented political environment; provides financial support for opposition to or advocacy of issues at the state and local levels; marshals support or opposition to influence action on issues which may affect the real estate industry throughout the state; manages the Quality of Life program and promotes issues endorsed by the Issues Mobilization Committee to the CAR membership.

The Political Survival Fund (PSF) consists of invested funds from REALTOR® members who are interested in protecting real estate interests and property rights.  Although PSF investments help support candidates on all levels, the majority of PSF dollars go toward local interests which are based on recommendations from local boards and associations. The Political Survival Fund is nonpartisan, supporting above all else REALTOR® interests.
