CAR Fall Forum

The 2022 CAR Fall Forum is geared towards REALTORS® who want to become more involved at CAR or in the REALTOR® association. Strategic Think Tank: The Strategic Think Tank Forum aims to explore the emerging issues, technology, industry disruptors, and competitive landscape surrounding the industry and the association.

MLS Forum: Content will feature current MLS trends across the Nation and feature solutions other MLSs are implementing to create a better experience for real estate agents. The discussion will also feature antitrust laws – what they are and why they are important.

RPAC Reception: Come celebrate all that the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) has accomplished this year on Tuesday, October 18. Join us as we recognize our top RPAC Investors, while enjoying drinks, appetizers, and a chance to win a $500 gift card. Cost to attend: $25 a ticket, which goes directly to RPAC. All Major Investors who have completed their 2022 investment will get a free to ticket. This event requires a separate ticket.

CAR Inaugural Dinner: Join us for our “Daytime Emmy Awards” themed dinner as the red carpet is rolled out to thank past leadership and to meet the new team. The CAR REALTOR® of the Year award will be presented along with other Distinguished Service awards for an evening you don’t want to miss. Tuesday, October 18. Dress is business/cocktail attire. Committee Descriptions:

AE Forum (invite only)

At this meeting, Local Association Executives discuss various topics affecting members, local boards, and the real estate industry.  The Forum is also an opportunity for AEs and CAR to share information, exchange ideas, and develop new ways to work better together to provide optimal services to members.


Audit Committee (invite only)

The committee assists the board of directors fulfill its corporate governance and overseeing responsibilities in relation to an entity’s financial reporting, internal control system, risk management system and internal and external audit functions.


CAR BOD Meeting

The CAR Board of Directors Meeting is the bi-annual governance meeting of the CAR Board of Directors.



The purpose of CAR Business Services, Inc. is to develop innovative programs and services for Colorado REALTORS® and generate non-dues revenue to CAR. Directors are elected by the Board of CAR Business Services, Inc.


CAR Foundation BOD Meeting

The CAR Foundation invites you to join our mission to help all Coloradans find safe and attainable housing.  Join us for our Board of Directors meeting and learn about our impact, plans for this year and how you can get involved.


CAR Past Chair Meeting (invite only)

Past Presidents & Past Chairs Forum is to share historical and current perspectives on today’s association and industry challenges.


CAR Political Action Committee (invite only)

CARPAC is comprised of 19 members appointed by the CAR President. It consists of two members from each CAR District, plus seven at-large appointments. In general, CARPAC reviews local boards recommendations in providing political contributions to local candidates and issues. CARPAC will also make endorsements and political contributions to state-level candidates and issues. In the case for statewide constitutional officer candidates, CARPAC recommends endorsements to the CAR Board of Directors.


Colorado Project Wildfire Task Force

This session will deliver exclusive insights on these wide-ranging efforts, tools and resources designed to help you make a direct impact in your community to lessen the risk and damage caused by wildfires every year, including valuable resources available to your clients/homeowners.


District Forums

Prior to the Board of Directors Meeting, CAR’s five districts (Western, Northeast, Southeast, Mountain and Metro) will have an opportunity to meet separately and discuss BOD meeting motions and agenda items.


Diversity & Inclusion Committee

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee explores and identifies inclusion and diversity strengths, issues, and opportunities within all aspects of CAR.


Finance Committee

The Finance Committee reviews, and sets guidelines for the annual budget that is then considered by the Leadership Council and the Board of Directors. The Finance Committee also reviews and manages the Colorado Association of REALTORS®’ fiscal operations, reporting to the Board of Directors at each regular meeting.


Investment Committee

The Investment Committee selects and oversees CAR’s investment firm, reviews and upholds the CAR Investment Policy, and reviews and makes recommendations on investment strategies for CAR, RPAC and Issues Mobilization funds.


Leadership Council Meeting

The Leadership Council conducts the affairs of CAR during this meeting.


Legislative Policy Committee (LPC)

  • monitors all legislation considered by the Colorado General Assembly
  • promotes or opposes any and all legislation which would have a favorable or negative impact on the real estate industry
  • proposes legislation that will improve the real estate industry’s operation
  • communicates on a regular basis with members and Boards of REALTORS® on legislative issues, and LPC members are appointed by the President. Local Associations are requested to make recommendations of members from their association who wish to serve.


Member Services Committee

The Member Services Committee focuses on the areas of Member Awareness, Consumer Awareness, Communications, Professional Development, Conferences & Events, Research, Market Trends, and Media Relations.


NAR Director’s Meeting (invite only)

This meeting consists of all NAR Directors from Colorado. National issues, challenges and areas of concern are addressed.


Professional Standards Committee

The Professional Standards Committee upholds the Code of Ethics and due process procedures as established by the National Association of REALTORS®.  The committee conducts hearings for inter-board arbitrations and cases sent through the statewide professional standards program, as well as providing dispute resolution services for disputes involving REALTORS®.  The committee consists of members from across the state, including one member and one alternate appointed from each local association. Members must take continuingprofessional standards training.


Property Management Forum

Designed for property managers of all sizes, this forum explores regulation, legislation, and industry issues that impact the property management side of real estate.
