CAR’s Liz Peetz Participates in Denver Business Journal’s Health Care Forum
CAR Vice President of Government Affairs Liz Peetz joined local business and industry leaders for the Denver Business Journal’s “Health Care Forum” earlier this month.
In regards to state officials considering a new public option for Coloradans, Peetz stated, “They seem to be moving fast but this is a really big idea and a huge sector of our economy. We should take the time to do the analysis and actuarial modeling. Some economists are talking about a possible recession. If we make decisions really quickly, we could be in a different economic environment in 2, 3 or 5 years. These are big decisions that need to be taken slowly. The legislature spent a lot of time on health-care legislation last session and we don’t really know what the impact from them will be yet.”
