Pueblo Chieftain: Why It Is ‘A Great Time to Sell’ A Home in Pueblo

“It’s a great time to sell because the market is up,” said Dave Anderson, Pueblo-area REALTOR. “It’s a bad time to buy because there’s not much to look at.”

“Prices are up a bunch and that’s because we don’t have a lot of low (price) homes for sale under $200,000,” he said. “We have a lot of higher-end homes being sold. For example, the market in Pueblo West is $300,000-plus and you are going to have a bunch of that in town, too — El Camino, University Park and the Mesa.”

Anderson added, “We are back up to 99.3% (compared with 97.6% last January) for sale price compared to list price. That’s a funny thing — that’s always been high for the last 10 years or so.”
