Market Trends Shows Median Sale Prices in Aurora’s Most Affordable Neighborhoods Rising

In Aurora’s more affordable northern neighborhoods along the Colfax corridor and Delmar Park, the city has half of the inventory it had last year and a median sales price of $400,000, which is up about 30 percent. The southern and eastern areas of Aurora and their newer developments have pushed the new median high to $706,000. CAR spokesperson and Aurora-area REALTOR® Sunny Banka says: “While we hear that the market is slowing, I am not sure that we are seeing that on the south and east side of the metro area. We are still experiencing fast sales, median prices at all-time highs, multiple offers, and an inventory shortage.” Across the metro area, prices decreased by 2% from July to August, but are still up nearly 15% from last year.  The state’s median prices fell about 1% from July to August.
