San Francisco and Denver Rank 1, 2 for Above Offer Sales

Denver ranks second in the nation for the number of homes sold for over the asking price at 70%. The San Francisco Bay area was tops at 82%. In March 2021, the Denver statistic was 66%, and in March 2020, the number of homes that sold over the list price was 59%. “I wouldn’t speculate that every house went above asking, but 70% seems completely in the realm of possibility given these numbers,” CAR Spokesperson Matthew Leprino said about the data released in a report from OJO Labs. While CAR’s monthly Market Trends report doesn’t track the number of homes that are going for above the list price, it does track the premium paid above the list price monthly. In Denver County in April, that number broke records at 108.5%.
