Colorado Prelicensing Requirements
Enroll Online

Obtain your Colorado Real Estate Associate Broker License:

  • Must be at least 18 Years of Age, and a legal U.S. Citizen.
  • Register for 168 Hours of DORA-approved Continuing Education Courses.
  • Submit your Fingerprints and information for a background check to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
  • Once you have completed your 168 hours of CE, you can apply for the license exam.  You will need a score of 75% or better to pass your exam.
  • Finally, you will need to find a sponsoring broker and complete your license application with the Colorado Real Estate Commission.

Obtain your Colorado Real Estate Employing Broker License:

  • Must be at least 18 Years of Age, and a legal U.S. Citizen.
  • Complete 24 Hours of DORA-approved Continuing Education Courses.
  • Must have two years of active experience as an Associate Broker.
  • Must have passed the state license exam.
  • Once you have completed your 24 hours of CE, you can apply for a change in level with the state.
