REALTORS® Support President Carter’s Colorado Habitat Project
The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) together with four of its local metro REALTOR® associations- Aurora, Denver Metro, Douglas Elbert, South Metro Denver and RE/MAX Professionals are a $25,000 sponsor for the Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver- Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project (JRCWP).
Scheduled for Oct. 6 – 12, 2013 in Denver, the Work Project will include the completion of 11 new townhomes and repairs to 15 existing homes in Globeville, one of Denver’s oldest, most culturally diverse neighborhoods. A select group of 34 area REALTORS® will join together with other volunteers to help with the build.
“We are honored to be able to participate in the JRCWP and help build and restore communities in Colorado,” said CAR President Keith Kanemoto. “As REALTORS®, we believe in investing in Colorado communities through both our financial commitments and the ability to have a-hands on role in worthy projects like this – literally building better communities. We congratulate and applaud the Carters as they continue their efforts to help transform the lives of families,” said Kanemoto.
Many of the volunteers will have the opportunity to work alongside former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn throughout the build. In addition, many volunteers will attend the Raise the Roof Dinner Celebration with the Carters and special guests Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.
