Colorado Association of REALTORS® Honors REALTOR® Nicole White, West + Main Homes, Mountain Metro Association of REALTORS®, and Denver Metro Association of REALTORS® with Diversity & Inclusion Awards

Englewood, CO – The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) presented Nicole White, West + Main Homes, the Mountain Metro Association of REALTORS®, and the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS® with awards dedicated to Diversity and Inclusion practices in the real estate industry. The awards were presented at CAR’s annual inaugural dinner in Denver.

“These individuals and companies are working hard to make inclusive practices an all-encompassing approach to employee training, company culture, and association values,” said Jason Witt, CAR’s 2024 President.

2024 Colorado Association of REALTORS® Diversity and Inclusion Award Recipients:

Individual Award: Nicole White has been involved with the CAR Diversity & Inclusion committee since its inception. She also established the diversity committee at her local association – Estes Valley Board of REALTORS®. White shares her passion for equality with the town of Estes by serving on community boards, including the Estes Park non-profit Alliance. White’s friends and colleagues comment on how passionate she is for supporting the DEI community, and how much she cares for the community.

Brokerage Award: West + Main Homes is the winner for the brokerage firm category. West + Main Homes strives to be a brokerage that not only speaks of DEI but embodies the idea. In 2021, West + Main Homes began requiring all of its agents to participate in the NAR Fair Housing training, Fairhaven. With the support of West + Main, a handful of its agents have started a new, diverse real estate organization serving the rights and needs of the disability community – one of the only communities that currently does not have an organization dedicated to offer support.

Small Association Award: Mountain Metro Association of REALTORS® is the winner of the REALTOR® organization – small association category. Mountain Metro Association of REALTORS® has made diversity, equity, and inclusion a pillar within their association. A few of its accomplishments include working with HOA management companies and local residents ensuring old covenants and policies no longer contain discriminatory language.

Large Association Award: Denver Metro Association of REALTORS® is the winner of the REALTOR® organization – large association category. Denver Metro Association of REALTORS® was one of the first Colorado REALTOR® Associations to create a committee that focused on DEI (2017 – 2018). A few of its many accomplishments include designating one seat on its board of directors for a representative from the diverse real estate organizations: Asian Real Estate Association of America, the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, and the National Association of Real Estate Brokers. The association will also provide a seat for a representative with the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals in the coming year.

The Colorado Association of REALTORS® is the state’s largest real estate trade association that represents more than 26,000 members statewide. The association supports private property rights, equal housing opportunities and is the “Voice of Real Estate” in Colorado.  For more information, visit www.ColoradoREALTORS.com.
