Colorado REALTORS®: Help Families Devastated by Historic Flooding

Colorado REALTORS®: Our Neighbors Need Your Help

Historic flooding has devastated communities across southwestern Colorado, leaving families displaced, homes destroyed, and residents facing an uncertain road to recovery.

In Pagosa Springs and Durango, back-to-back rounds of catastrophic flooding have overwhelmed communities, washed away roads and bridges, and forced residents to evacuate. Officials estimated that more than 500 homes were impacted by the first round of flooding alone. With even more destruction reported following this week’s storms, the full extent of the devastation is still unknown.

For many Colorado families, the place they call home is gone.

The Colorado Association of REALTORS® Foundation is stepping up to help, providing disaster assistance to residents who have lost their homes in the flooding. Donations collected through this relief effort will go toward housing assistance for those impacted by this disaster.

As REALTORS®, we understand that a home is more than four walls and a roof. It’s where families build their lives, create memories, and find security. When that security is suddenly taken away, our REALTOR® community has an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

We’re asking Colorado REALTORS® across the state to come together and help our neighbors in need.

Every contribution, regardless of size, can help families begin the difficult process of recovery.
