2014 Leadership Academy Graduates to be Recognized at Annual Convention

2014 Leadership Academy Graduates to be Recognized at Annual Convention

Effective REALTOR® Associations require visionary leaders who can anticipate the existing and future needs of the Association.   The Colorado Association of REALTORS® reintroduced a new and improved program in 2014 seeking 20 Colorado REALTORS® to groom and refine their leadership skills to be the kind of leaders our state and local associations need to be relevant in the real estate industry. “The Leadership Academy is designed to help our organization identify and transform common roadblocks into breakthrough opportunities,” said CAR President Jolon Ruch.  “A strong foundation of developing leaders also helps us to better represent the industry and strengthen our communities through collaboration.”

Over the course of the six-month training program, Academy graduates participated in various leadership and spokesperson training programs. The group also volunteered a collective total of 400 hours to assist or observe leadership functions in over 40 organizations impacting local communities across Colorado.  “We were impressed with the breadth of community outreach and the level of energy from the Academy participants,” said Wes Parham, CAR Director of Business & Professional Development.   “They each put a lot of thought into their projects.  It really brought some new insight back to the Association.”
