Fair Housing Month

Join us for four engaging sessions throughout the month of April!

Come celebrate Fair Housing Month with us! The Colorado Association of REALTORS’® Diversity & Inclusion Committee is hosting two great sessions in the month of April to educate and celebrate the individuals behind the word diversity.

History and Risk Management

April 2, 2024, 9:00am – 11:00am

Virtual – 2 CE

Join us as we journey through the history of Fair Housing in Colorado and refresh your knowledge of the Fair Housing laws and what protected classes are included at the Federal, State, and County levels. The content will also focus on common Fair Housing violations occurring currently in our market and how to avoid finding yourself in violation.

The People Behind Diversity

April 16, 2024, 1:00pm – 2:30pm

To celebrate Fair Housing Month, the Colorado Association of REALTORS® will be hosting a panel of individuals who represent a community that is often thought of when discussing diversity – they will share the beauty of their community and what REALTORS® should be mindful of when working with individuals from this community.

Privilege Walk Exercise

April 23, 2024, 11:00am-12:00pm

Participants will explore the complex concept of privilege with a virtual privilege walk. The privilege walk exercise examines the intricacies of privilege in our society. It explores how we enjoy or do not enjoy privileges in our everyday lives. The exercise is not meant to make anyone feel guilty or exacerbate group division. Instead, it is meant to bring awareness and help us learn how to work better with each other. By educating ourselves on our privileges, we can identify ways to work and collaborate more inclusively, with a deeper awareness of other’s experiences.
