Fair Housing Month

Join us for four engaging sessions throughout the month of April!

Come celebrate Fair Housing Month with us! The Colorado Association of REALTORS’® Diversity & Inclusion Committee is hosting two great sessions in the month of April to educate and celebrate the individuals behind the word diversity.

The People Behind Diversity

April 18, 2023, 10am – Noon

Fee: $25

BEZEL Restaurant Lounge – Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel
1550 Court Pl, Denver, CO 80202

To celebrate Fair Housing Month, the Colorado Association of REALTORS® will be hosting a panel of real estate professionals who represents a community that is often associated as diverse – they will share the beauty of their community and what REALTORS® should be mindful of when working with individuals from this community.

We will be learning, sharing, and asking uncomfortable questions on our journey toward meeting the individuals behind the word diversity. Panelist backgrounds will represent the following communities and cultures – Asia-Pacific, India, Middle Eastern, Latin America, LGBTQ+, and Disability.

Session includes brunch bites and drinks – Mimosa’s, coffee, tea, and juice.

Street meter parking is available, but please keep in mind that the maximum time you can park at a street meter in Denver is 2 hours.

Hotel valet is available from $32-$39.

We recommend the app SpotHero, which helps you locate affordable parking options where you can reserve a spot beforehand.

International Food Tour Virtual Reception

April 20, 2023, 1:00pm – 2:30pm

Fee: $25

To celebrate Fair Housing Month, the Colorado Association of REALTORS® will be hosting a virtual reception honoring the individuals behind the word diversity and learning more about the various cultures across the globe.

Attendees of this virtual reception will experience the world using all their senses while completing fun, educational, and interactive international food-themed challenges along the way. Under the pressure of time, teams must divide roles, strategize, and communicate as they taste foods from a vast number of cultures. Whether it’s learning how ceviche is made in Peru, sipping a popular beverage choice from Japan, or sharing a family recipe, it’s all about coming out of your comfort zone together. In the end, the team with highest score is the winner!

Session 3
NAR Fairhaven

Fairhaven is a town every REALTOR® should visit. Online, that is! Complete the online challenge in the month of April to show your commitment to Fair Housing. The course takes 60 to 100 minutes to complete and can be paused or retaken as necessary.

This platform takes real estate professionals to the fictional town of Fairhaven, where agents work to close four deals while confronting situations in which discrimination is a factor. As agents advance through the simulation, they receive feedback on their performance that they can use in real-life situations.
