Wire Fraud Alert From DORA

Colorado Bureau of Investigation warns of wire fraud with the email address aab14117@gmail.com.

 

The Division of Real Estate (Division), received an alert by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation regarding a specific email address (aab14117@gmail.com) being used compromise business transactions through a wiring instructions scam.

 
Changes in wiring instructions have been sent from the above email, posing as title company closers, from at least three different title companies.

 
CBI has been notified by transaction coordinators and title company closers that their clients have been receiving instructions to send money well before closing and directing the funds to four different accounts that CBI is aware of.
