Matthew Leprino, a CAR spokesperson spoke with Denver 7 to offer his advice for those looking for affordable rentals near Denver. Rental prices are reliant on the median home price for the area of the rental property, “Adams County is one of the more affordable areas to still be in right now at a median sale price at $347,000,” Leprino said. Denver might not be the cheapest option for renters currently, but there are still affordable rentals around and near Denver.
Some tips from Leprino involved utilizing other sites such as Craigslist to find rental properties and to look for a rental property in the early part of the year to find the best deals, “I’ve known plenty of landlords over the years would really like to have their leases expire in February, March, April because they want to renew at that time,” Leprino said.
