Support Boulder County – Donate to the CAR Foundation Fire Relief Fund

Although authorities have only begun to assess the damage left behind by the Marshall and Middle Fork fires in Boulder County communities, we now know upwards of 990 homes have been destroyed, and hundreds more damaged, leaving thousands of people scrambling to find a place to live in a real estate market with few choices. Several Colorado REALTORS® even lost their own homes in the disaster. CAR’s leadership team has been working with local association leaders and your CAR Foundation to take some initial steps in support of the thousands of wildfire victims.

Over the weekend, individual Colorado REALTORS® across the state donated over $60,000 to the CAR Foundation’s Boulder County Fire Relief Fund. CAR Leadership and the CAR Foundation have pledged an additional $80,000 to create an “immediate need” grant fund of $140,000 to provide housing-related relief funds to organizations serving those impacted by what is already being called the most destructive fire in our state’s history.

But the need will be immense, and more help is needed. If you haven’t already, please consider making a tax-deductible financial contribution to the CAR Foundation using the link below.

We will continue our work with BOLO (Boulder-Longmont) REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® to provide additional resources and financial support to the victims of this tragedy.

Again, we thank you for the outpouring of care, generosity and desire to lend aid to your fellow Coloradans and REALTOR® members in need. Please share this message and link widely with your network.
