Oppose Detrimental Rent Control Policies Before It’s Too Late

Colorado lawmakers are considering a repeal of the prohibition on local rent control. Colorado Association of REALTORS is opposed to rent control, which would be a huge detriment to Colorado’s housing market.

If HB23-1115 is passed, this would not only create a patch work of rent “stabilization” ordinances throughout the state, but adverse outcomes by capping the ability for housing providers to set rent. This would also decrease development on new housing and reduce residential mobility, leaving sectors of Coloradans out of potential housing.

HB23-1115, Repeal Prohibition Local Residential Rent Control, will be heard in House floor at 9AM MT on Tuesday, February 21st.

Contact your state legislator and send them a pre-written message urging them to vote NO.
