Colorado REALTORS® Honor Aaron Westbrooks as 2026 Colorado Young Professional REALTOR® of the Year

The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and Colorado Young Professionals Network (CYPN) have named Aaron Westbrooks, REALTOR® with the Pugh Group in Englewood, CO, the 2026 Colorado Young Professional REALTOR® of the Year. Also known as the Gus Williams Colorado Young Professional Network REALTOR® of the Year Award, the award recognizes the next generation of REALTOR® leaders who demonstrate professional excellence, ethical leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to strengthening the real estate industry.

A REALTOR® for four years, Westbrooks has quickly emerged as an active leader within the REALTOR® organization. He currently serves as Chair of the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association’s Young Professionals Network and represents YPN as an ex officio member of the association’s Board of Directors. Through those roles, he has focused on connecting young professionals with the association and encouraging greater involvement in advocacy, education, networking, and industry leadership.

Westbrooks has also made REALTOR® advocacy a central part of his involvement, engaging with mayors and city council members locally, state legislators at the Colorado Capitol, and members of Congress in Washington, D.C. His nomination highlighted his ability to make advocacy approachable and relevant to younger professionals, including by sharing his perspective as a native of Ireland and the differences he has experienced between the two countries when it comes to property ownership and civic participation.

“Aaron has an incredible ability to connect with people and make them feel like they belong in the conversation,” said Daniel Pitrone, Chair of the Colorado Young Professionals Network. “That ability, combined with his enthusiasm for advocacy and involvement, represents exactly what CYPN is about — developing leaders who understand that being a REALTOR® means engaging in your profession, your association, and your community. Aaron is a leader at SMDRA, regularly attends CYPN leadership meetings, attended the NAR YPN Advance in Chicago using his own resources, and attended the REALTOR® Legislative meetings in Washington, DC. He has accomplished a great deal in just a few years, and we’re excited to see where his leadership takes him next.”

The Colorado Young Professionals Network (CYPN) is a group of REALTORS® who are “young at heart or young in age” and lead the way in the real estate industry and their local communities through educational, philanthropic, and social events. They value education, cultivate leaders, and support local communities.  For more information, visit www.coloradorealtors.com/colorado-young-professionals-network.

The Colorado Association of REALTORS® is the state’s largest real estate trade association that represents more than 21,000 members statewide. The association supports private property rights, equal housing opportunities and is the “Voice of Real Estate” in Colorado.  For more information, visit www.ColoradoREALTORS.com.
