Risk Management – Brokers Behaving Badly: Risky, Silly and Annoying Things REALTORS do in Real Estate Transaction – Tuesday, October 15: Join Scott Peterson and nine other real estate attorneys for a round of musical chairs! This celebratory event will commemorate 33 years of REALTOR® engagement and investment into Colorado communities and will raise funds for the CAR Foundation’s program to support safe and attainable housing, advance homeownership for all Coloradans and provide housing related disaster assistance. Committee Transition Meetings
We highly encourage all who are active on CAR committees to attend the Committee Transition Meetings for the committees on which they serve. The meetings will ensure continuity from the outgoing 2024 committee to the new 2025 committee, review the purpose and goals of each committee, and focus on priorities for 2025. “Why Involvement Matters” – If you are new or newer to the REALTOR® association and do not serve on a committee, we invite you to attend this session about getting involved at the state, local, or national level. A few of our CAR past presidents will be on hand to share their experiences and guide you through the benefits and the “how to” of getting involved as a REALTOR® volunteer. They will also hold a Q&A session at the end.

Scott is an experienced real estate and business professional with an extensive background representing individuals and companies on a broad range of matters. He currently serves as General Counsel for the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR), the state’s largest real estate trade association.
