Colorado Association of REALTORS® Announces 2024-2025 Leadership; Dana Cottrell Installed as 2025 President

ENGLEWOOD, CO The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) installed Dana Cottrell as it’s 2025 President at the association’s annual convention in Denver, CO, a role she will assume from Dec. 1, 2024, through Nov. 30, 2025.

Dana Cottrell is a residential broker with the Summit Resort Group in Dillon, Colorado, and has been a REALTOR® for 20 years. She has served in many leadership capacities for both the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and Altitude REALTORS®, most recently serving as the state’s Treasurer for two years.

“Dana’s ascension to the leadership of the Colorado Association of REALTORS® in 2025 marks a transformative moment for our Association and Colorado’s real estate industry,” said CAR CEO Tyrone Adams. “With her passion, dedication and vision, she will elevate the standards of real estate and inspire a new era of collaboration and innovation across the state.”

Cottrell’s longstanding volunteerism includes the CAR Investment and Finance committees, the CAR Foundation Board of Directors, and as a board member and President of Summit REALTORS®. She is a graduate of the 2020 CAR Leadership Academy and is an active media spokesperson for Colorado REALTORS®, regularly speaking at conferences and to reporters about the real estate market. Cottrell has won many awards including the 2021 REALTOR® of the Year for Summit REALTORS®, the 2023 Distinguished Achievement Award for Summit REALTORS®, and the 2022 Distinguished Service award for CAR. She also volunteers her time for her community as Board President of the Summit Community Care Clinic.

“Real estate is always evolving, and the changes we are currently seeing are sweeping and impactful. I believe these changes give REALTORS® a chance to re-create a strong future by being industry leaders in knowledge, ethics, and professionalism,” said Cottrell. “The Colorado Association of REALTORS® and my incoming leadership team are here to support Colorado REALTORS®, buyers, sellers, and our communities, whether that is at the Capitol fighting for property rights or providing up to the minute education on the newest practice changes. Together, we’re working to create a healthy, sustainable market for buyers, sellers, and our members alike.”

Cottrell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Production Management from University of Colorado Boulder. Since becoming a REALTOR®, she has also received the National Association of REALTORS® designations for Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), and Commitment to Excellence (C2EX)
