Strategic Think Tank Forum: Influencing Your Future – Main Stage Interactive Forum- Monday, October 14: Speaker and Philosopher Matthew Ferrara has spent over three decades helping salespeople and leaders grow through business practices, coaching, strategic planning, and personal inspiration. Risk Management – How REALTORS® Annoy Lawyers – Tuesday, October 15: Join Scott Peterson and nine other real estate attorneys for a round of musical chairs! Ten lawyers, nine chairs, and one microphone. Each lawyer who loses a round of musical chairs will take the floor to discuss a common risk management scenario that REALTORS® face and what to do in the real world.

Committee Transition Meetings

We highly encourage all who are active on CAR committees to attend the Committee Transition Meetings for the committees on which they serve. The meetings will ensure continuity from the outgoing 2024 committee to the new 2025 committee, review the purpose and goals of each committee, and focus on priorities for 2025. “Why Involvement Matters” – If you are new or newer to the REALTOR® association and do not serve on a committee, we invite you to attend this session about getting involved at the state, local, or national level. A few of our CAR past presidents will be on hand to share their experiences and guide you through the benefits and the “how to” of getting involved as a REALTOR® volunteer. They will also hold a Q&A session at the end.

He has spent over three decades helping salespeople and leaders grow through business practices, coaching, strategic planning, and personal inspiration. Matthew’s journey began in talk radio then shifted to real estate professional development in 1991. He built multiple companies over the years, including a training firm, technology call center, online learning portal and executive mentoring practice. Matthew is an advisor to brokerages, associations and CEOs worldwide.

Matthew’s work draws connections between multiple disciplines including business strategy, innovation, technology, and philosophy to create unique opportunities for growth. His perspectives include roles as salesperson, trainer, CEO, author and cancer survivor.

Matthew was educated at Phillips Academy Andover and the University of Massachusetts, where he earned degrees in philosophy and economics. He has keynoted conferences, workshops, and retreats worldwide, and authored award winning sales, marketing, management and leadership programs across the industry, including Ascend, Accelerate and Maestro. Matthew’s work has been translated into eight languages and his photographs have been auctioned for charities in Canada, Germany, and the United States.

Scott Peterson

Scott is an experienced real estate and business professional with an extensive background representing individuals and companies on a broad range of matters. He currently serves as General Counsel for the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR), the state’s largest real estate trade association. Scott is also an experienced actor and appears in many below average CAR video productions.
