CO REALTORS® Donate $5,465 to Wounded Warrior Project

Englewood, COLO. – (Dec. 11, 2014) The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) has contributed $5,465 to the Wounded Warrior Project®. The funds were collected from the Association’s membership during its recent state convention, featuring a keynote speech by former Navy SEAL and Lone Survivor Marcus Luttrell.

Luttrell’s experiences, chronicled in the book “Lone Survivor” and featured in the movie of the same name, serve as the foundation of his emotional and motivational presentations.

Wounded Warrior Project® serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families.

“It was an absolute honor to have Marcus Luttrell here in Denver to share his experiences and his personal story of survival under extreme circumstances to our members and guests, including many service veterans,” said CAR CEO/CFO Don Flynn.  “We know of the incredible work done by the Wounded Warrior Program and we’re happy to be able to make a contribution to this wonderful organization as they continue to deliver the programs and services needed by so many of our country’s wounded service members and their families.”

The Colorado Association of REALTORS® is the state’s largest real estate trade association representing more than 21,000 members statewide. The association supports private property rights, equal housing opportunities and is the “Voice of Real Estate” in Colorado.  For more information, visit www.ColoradoREALTORS.com.
