Littleton Ranks Second Best Small City in the U.S.

According to a new WalletHub study, the city of Littleton is the second-best city in the United States. Affordable housing costs, high home-ownership rates, comfortable cost-of-living, and access to education and healthcare resulted in a high quality of life, giving Littleton its impressive ranking. WalletHub looked at 1,268 small cities across the country, or those with populations between 25,000 to 100,000.

Out of the 1,268 small cities, 16 in Colorado landed on the list, most in the top 500 and two in the top 20. Parker, Colorado came in at 19, Lafeyette at 48, Broomfield at 114, Grand Junction at 126, Englewood at 161, Castle Rock at 197, and Longmont at 230.

To compile the ranking, WalletHub assigned the small cities scores across 22 metrics including housing costs, cost-of-living, affordability, quality of life, education and healthcare systems, unemployment rates, income growth, crime rates, average commute times and even recreational activities nearby like museums and restaurants.
