Habitat for Humanity’s Legislative Build Day

CAR was excited this year to be a sponsor of the Habitat for Humanity Legislative Build Day that sponsored building across the state on June 27, 2019.

“CAR is thrilled to partner with Habitat for Humanity to build affordable housing,” says Vice President of Government Affairs, Elizabeth Peetz. “We know that 1 in 7 households spend more than half of their income on housing and CAR is continuing to support efforts to increase the supply of affordable housing across the state.”

CAR donated $2,000 to sponsor The Statewide Legislative Build Day. REALTOR Amy Dorsey and Peetz volunteered by putting up siding with the Vail Valley Habitat for Humanity in the Gypsum-area. “We were fortunate enough to build with our State Legislators, Representatives Dylan Roberts and Kerry Donovan,” says Peetz.
