With Deep Grief

There is a saying in Tibetan, “tragedy should be utilized as a source of strength.” No matter what sort of difficulties, how painful experience is, if we lose our hope, that’s the real disaster. –Dalai Lama

The Boulder Area REALTOR® Association Leadership, staff, as well as, we are sure, our members, would like to offer our condolences to the families, friends and coworkers who lost loved ones, our support to the victims, and our gratitude to the police and first responders of the shooting that took place Monday in our Boulder community.

We are all struggling to comprehend the senseless tragedy and loss of life that took place and are certainly asking ourselves what we can do to be of help. How can we, even if in a small way, be part of the solution to end what has unfortunately become a common occurrence in our communities. Let us, the REALTOR® family, be at the forefront of this solution.

Please take time in the days and weeks ahead to reach out to your family, friends, neighbors, clients and yes maybe even a stranger. A kind gesture, a smile, a wave, or any act of kindness is a start to a solution. Get involved in the conversation. Volunteer your time to organizations that are addressing mental illness. While we are strong as individuals, we are stronger as a group.
