Wildfire Preparedness Checklists for Clients

As we all learned last week: “Unfortunately, wildfire doesn’t happen in ‘just the mountains,’” says Sarah Thorsteinson, Executive Director of Summit REALTORS® and Vice-Chair of CAR’s Colorado Project Wildfire (CPW). “No trees are needed. Embers fly in the wind, and every bit of land between Wyoming and New Mexico is part of the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI), which is where Wildfires can start easily,” according to CPW Chair Ulrich Salzgeber.  REALTORS® are their clients best information source about wildfire mitigation and CAR offers a robust toolkit and programming for local fire prevention resources. Through Project Wildfire, Colorado REALTORS® are working in partnership with other like-minded fire prevention organizations across our state to bring education and awareness, as well as access to resources directly to residents in their local communities. Below are quick links to some of the most used resources on the Colorado Project Wildfire Page.
