Join us virtually on January 28 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am for an exciting look into the future of Colorado’s economy and real estate market for 2025. The 2025 CAR Economic Summit will provide you with analysis of the market changes and opportunities all REALTORS® should be prepared for.

SCHEDULE – Tuesday, Jan 28:

 

  • 9am – 10am: Economic Forecast with Tatiana Bailey. Economist and public health expert Tatiana Bailey will provide a national and statewide economic overview and her forecast of what to expect in 2025, including a drill-down into the Colorado residential market and overview of Colorado’s commercial sector.

 

  • 10am – 11am: State of Housing with Cooper Thayer. REALTOR® Spokesperson and market trends expert Cooper Thayer will delve deeper into the data and reveal his predictions for the 2025 Colorado housing market, including in-depth regional analysis of unique markets across the state.

Dr. Bailey is Founder and Executive Director of Data-Driven Economic Strategies, which focuses on rigorous, unbiased monthly economic reporting and workforce development initiatives. Dr. Bailey joins Colorado REALTORS® to present on the current national, state, and local economies while also providing her forecasts of the Colorado housing and commercial markets for 2025. Discussion will cover the U.S. economy overview (with some forecasts), the Colorado economy overview (with some forecasts), a drill-down on U.S. and Colorado residential real estate market (with some forecasts), and an overview of commercial real estate market.

Delve into the evolving landscape of Colorado’s housing market with market trends expert Cooper Thayer who will lead a State of Housing session aimed at preparing REALTORS® for market changes in 2025. Discussion will cover an array of topics, including a 2024 year-in-review, emerging market changes for 2025, and potential challenges and opportunities, ensuring a thorough understanding of the real estate sector’s future. Focusing specifically on the unique characteristics of Colorado’s housing market, this session is crafted to equip professionals with the essential knowledge and confidence required to navigate the upcoming year’s market dynamics successfully.

She also participates in various economic development initiatives and has particularly focused on closing the skills gap. Recently, Dr. Bailey founded and is the executive director for Data-Driven Economic Strategies (DDES), which focuses on rigorous, unbiased monthly economic reporting and workforce development initiatives particularly for underserved communities. She also serves as an economic development resource to both businesses and government in various communities across the nation. In 2016, Dr. Bailey was a “Woman of Influence,” and in 2018, was named “Business Leader of the Year.”

 

Dr. Bailey is Founder and Executive Director of Data-Driven Economic Strategies, which focuses on rigorous, unbiased monthly economic reporting and workforce development initiatives, particularly for underserved communities. In the economic development field, Dr. Bailey presents nationwide on the current national, state, and local economies. She also participates in various economic development initiatives and has particularly focused on closing the skills gap. She serves as an economic development resource to both businesses and government and is an appointee to the governor’s council of economists and the Pikes Peak State College Advisory Council.

Cooper Thayer grew up in the real estate business and joined his family team, The Thayer Group, after receiving his real estate license the week he turned 18. Based out of Keller Williams Action Realty in Castle Rock, The Thayer Group has become one of the top-performing real estate teams in the Denver Metro Area, with over 540 transactions and $300M+ worth of properties sold. Cooper is a Denver-based real estate broker and operator of ancillary services in the local real estate industry, supporting agents and assisting clients with buying, selling, and investing in real estate since 2015.
