Colorado Association of REALTORS® honors Mary Ann Hinrichsen as REALTOR® of the Year

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Mary Ann Hinrichsen, a high-producing REALTOR® with RE/MAX Masters Millennium in Greenwood Village, Colo., was recognized as the 2018 Colorado REALTOR® of the Year by the Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) at its 98th Annual Conference.

The award is the most prestigious honor given to a CAR member and is a culmination of a distinguished career within the REALTOR® organization across the local, state and national levels. In addition to activity within the association, the REALTOR® of the Year is a person active at the community level and successful in business.

Over the course of her 34-year real estate career, Hinrichsen has helped numerous families and individuals realize their homeownership and business dreams.

An active member of the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association (SMDRA), she is involved with her community in a wide range of civic and philanthropic activities and organizations including: community outreach efforts, toy drives, blood drives, and fundraisers. In 2015, Hinrichsen immediately brought to life NAR President Tom Salamone’s initiative to support the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Active in her professional associations at the local, state and national level, Hinrichsen served as SMDRA’s 2016 Board Chair and a Director of the Association. She was the SMDRA REALTOR® of the Year in 2001 and was awarded the Mary Ellen Marx Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. Hinrichsen has been a staple member of the CAR State Convention Committee and Task Force, serving as Chair in 2012 – when she received a Distinguished Service Award for her efforts. She has been a CAR Director, Metro Denver REALTOR® Foundation Trustee, and a champion in advocating and promoting RPAC.

“Mary Ann continues to graciously make a huge impact in Colorado’s real estate industry through her volunteer efforts in the REALTOR® organizations,” said Tyrone Adams, CEO of the Colorado Association of REALTORS®.  “She is selfless in giving her time and sharing her experiences with her peers, REALTOR® Associations, and consumers. Mary Ann epitomizes the definition of REALTOR® of the Year.”

Additional awards presented during the Conference included:

  • The Gus Williams Colorado Young Professional Network REALTOR® of the Year- Siân Murphy (WK Real Estate, Boulder)
  • Political Service Award – Larry McGee (The Berkshire Group, Greenwood Village)

Outgoing CAR Chair, Ann Hayes, presented the association’s Distinguished Service Award to five individuals. The award honors outstanding contributions to the real estate industry and the association.  Honorees for 2018 were:
