2020 CAR Spring Summit Canceled
In the interest of the health and safety of our membership as well as guidance from the State of Colorado and the CDC, CAR Leadership has made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 CAR Spring Summit that was to take place from April 21- 23 in Vail, CO. As the fast-changing COVID–19 situation continues to evolve and impact nearly every facet of our lives, your CAR leadership team has been and will continue to be working to understand and make proactive decisions that are grounded and focused on the health, safety and long-term care of our members and the communities we serve. While we know that many of the decisions we will have to make are going to be difficult, we believe in doing our part to help stop the spread of the virus.
Event Registration Refunds: All registration fees paid to CAR for the 2020 CAR Spring Summit will be refunded back to each registrant in the same mode of payment it was received. Please do give CAR staff several days to complete this refund process. Please also note that it may take 5-7 business days for this refund to reflect in your account.
Hotel Cancellations and Refunds: The Four Seasons Resort Vail, the Sebastian, and the Sonnenalp will proactively cancel all sleeping rooms and reservations. There will be no cancellation fees charged and any deposits made will be fully refunded by the hotels. Those who made their reservations with a hotel directly will receive notification within the next several days that their room has been cancelled. If your reservation was made by CAR or your local association, those room blocks will also be cancelled and refunded in the original mode of payment.
Board of Directors: Your Leadership Council is discussing the possibility of planning a virtual Board of Directors Meeting. We will be in contact with the Board soon on any details surrounding this potential meeting. Any Committees that were scheduled to meet at the CAR Spring Summit are encouraged to continue to meet virtually via conference call as is needed.
While CAR leadership and staff continues to work remotely so that we can do our part in containing the virus, we want members to know that we are actively available and working hard to meet your needs. Please reach out to us at communications@coloradorealtors.com if you have any questions or concerns. We want to thank you for your patience and understanding. We will come together through this unparalleled time and emerge even stronger because #ThatsWhoWeR.
