CAR Leadership Academy is an exclusive four-month training and development program designed to nurture future association leaders. It is focused on developing participants’ industry and association knowledge.
Leadership Academy will extend from January-April 2020 with a total of 8 sessions.
These sessions will include the following:
Session 1: Introduction to the structure of our Association and initiatives for the upcoming year followed by a kickoff reception.
Session 2: Learn how to analyze the statewide Housing Statistics released monthly by the Colorado Association of REALTORS®.
Session 3: Participants will attend event sessions at the Economic Summit learning important information that influences the current housing market and economy. This session will dive into the importance of government and legislation within the real estate industry at CAR’s annual REALTOR® Day at the Capitol.
Session 4: Spend time engaging in the important discussion of Diversity and Inclusion via webinar for this session.
Session 5: Participants will take a deeper look into the Ethics, Mediation and Arbitration processes and learn what goes into enforcing the Code of Ethics and providing arbitration services for our members as they engage in Professional Standards.
Session 6: Being in a leadership role may require you to speak at large gatherings and could include interviews with the media on important affecting real estate. Participants will spend time in the CAR studio green room learning tips and tricks through performing a mock media interview with Susie Wargin during Spokesperson 1.0.
Session 7: Engage in Board Governance Training with your group at this final session before graduation.
Session 8: Leadership Academy participants will attend their final session and celebrate their graduation at our CAR Spring Summit Event in Vail!
